Lone Tree School is a District that serves over 400 students PK through 12th Grade all in one building. The District is located 15-minutes southeast of Iowa City and 7-minutes east of HWY 218, exit 80. The unique setup of a one building school District allows for a close knit, family feel. With relatively small classes sizes, students have access to more individualized attention to support every child's unique learning needs. The Lone Tree District supports a number of students from outside the community as over 20% of our student population open enroll into our District, a number that continues to grow each year.
The district is organized into two levels. Our elementary school serves PK3 and PK4, along with kindergarten through fifth grade, with class sizes typically ranging from the mid-teens to the low 20s. Our second level houses the middle and high school, serving students in grades six through twelve.
